Introduction

"Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime."

My father once told me: Son, a man who knows how to work with his hands will never go hungry.

Three years ago, I started my business with a 200 amp arc welder, a small grinder and a drill. I built lockers for a change room and swing doors for a boat house in my first month. Altogether I made a profit of R5,200.00 on both jobs. On the 17th September, 2021, I completed a three part mezzanine "manufacture and install" job in Spartan. My invoices for the three parts of the job were in excess of R400,000.00.

It is entirely conceivable to start a business in this industry and to make a success of it!
