Stationary donation for Matrics

It is few days before Matric preparatory exams. United Way South Africa has been joining hundreds of learners who are part of our Youth Success Programme, to motivate them at their different schools around the country.

Yesterday on the 18th August, United Way South Africa, with partnership from some of our donors, attended a pre-examination motivation event and donated basic stationery packs to support the learners at Ivory Park Secondary School in Tembisa, for exam preparations. This served as a good motivation and there is no doubt that these youngsters are determined to shape their future for the better.

The Principal also motivated the learners, with powerful and brief words, as well as thanking them for their perseverance:

'Poor preparation leads to poor perfomance', he said.

All the 365+ matriculants paid attention and you could tell that the reality of their long schooling journey was sinking in their minds. They are now at the finishing line... and all the speakers of the day emphasised that:

'It's all up to you now to finish the race', as they now embark on preliminary examinations.

What an impactful day!

Your quick donation will help us, help many other students.
