Heritage Day with United Way

Heritage Day with United Way

United Way celebrated Heritage Day on the 28th September with Tshepang Care Center, a welfare in the informal settlement of Tembisa township in Ekurhuleni Municipality in the greater Johannesburg.

It was a colourful, beautiful and heart-warming day. We found so much joy feeding the children, sharing clothes and toys donated by our generous partner Eli-Lilly.

Heritage Day is a South African public holiday celebrated on 24th of September. We recognise the importance of cultural diversity in shaping our national identity and fostering a sense of unity and belonging among all citizens. On this day, South Africans are encouraged to celebrate and embrace their plethora of cultures and traditions!
