On and around 21 June, the United Way Global Day of Service, thousands of people across the globe take action to improve their communities by volunteering with United Way. In 37 countries and territories across the world, United Way creates meaninfgul volunteering opportunities, both virtual and in-person, that make it easy for people and organizations to tackle some of the toughest problems facing communities.
United Way South Africa in partnership with IkamvaYouth in Cosmo City, north of Johannesburg, had their Day of Service on the 22 July... also in alignment with the Mandela Day (Month) activities.
We volunteered the following services:
- Mathematics - Extra Tuition Session
- Mini Career Fair Talks
- Motivation Talks
- Human Trafficking Awareness
We shared a meal with the volunteers and learners.
